How it works

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. The platelets extracted from the blood, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP), are then placed in a syringe and injected into an area near the clitoris and an area just inside the vagina, also known as the “O-Spot.” This process stimulates the growth of new cells, making the area more sensitive to the touch. PRP has been used for decades in orthopedic and dental surgeries, and is also used in numerous other aesthetic procedures in our office.
One goal of the O-Shot® is to stimulate the growth of new cells and make the injected areas more sensitive. The effects last about 12-18 months. The second goal is to alleviate the embarrassment and uncertainty of stress urinary incontinence which occurs during activities such as coughing, sneezing, jumping, running, or heavy lifting.
