How it works
After an examination by Dr. Porter, patients will internally be numb for about 30 minutes. The diVa procedure is programmed specifically for the patient’s anatomy and symptoms. It will include an internal rejuvenation and may also include treatment for stress urinary incontinence and scar revision due to childbirth. Once the settings are entered, a disposable quartz dilator is inserted into the numbed vagina to allow for maximum treatment. With diVa’s high precision automation, there is no probing or prodding. Rather, the laser treats in a 360-degree fashion and self-retracts as it treats ensuring an even treatment with minimal discomfort.

All of our diVa treatments include platelet-rich plasma or PRP immediately following laser treatment. PRP has the benefit of helping create new blood vessels, nerve endings, and collagen beyond laser treatment alone. PRP also improves healing and significantly reduces downtime.
Patients may return to their daily routine with minimal to no discharge, spotting, or discomfort. However, they should avoid sexual intercourse for 72 hours.
The diVa’s ergonomic design allows for patient comfort and ease of use. Each treatment takes 3 to 5 minutes to fractionally resurface the full length of a vaginal canal. The diVa laser delivers two laser therapies at once for a combined synergistic effect. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, replacing it with brand new, healthy tissue. The second laser heats the layers of the tissue where collagen exists.
